Interview with Lise-Lotte

From Denmark, Lise-Lotte was so fascinated with Paris when she visited in her youth, that she promised herself that she would find any way she could to move to the city. Her job as a diplomat took her to Russia, the US and finally to Paris. Through her role, she became engrossed in the arts and set up a gallery in New York. Her beautiful Parisian home reflects her love for art, filled with fine furniture, conceptual objects and art pieces. We absolutely love Lise-lotte sophisticated style and iconic statement glasses! Discover Lise-Lotte’s curation inspired by her laid-back elegance.

Tell us about a woman who you find beautiful and inspiring? Michelle Obama. Her strength, her determination, her sense of justice. I think this woman represents what we, as women, should aspire to be in our every day life. Women are too often underestimating their power to change the world. Men won’t give us the rights we have, the opportunities to take ownership unless we ask for it. Michelle Obama invites every woman to take ownership of her life, career, and motherhood. You are who you really want to be. You need to want it, you need to be desperate to express your true self.

Which accessory do you like to wear to complete your silhouette? A piece of my daughter’s jewellery.

What do you collect? I collect African masks.

What object do you cherish most? My frames, my monocle, my lenses.

If you were a colour, what colour would you be? Navy blue, close to dark but enriched by a ray of light.

What’s your favourite smell? Roasted coffee… makes me wake up in the morning.

What’s your favourite dish? My morning porridge.

Recommend us a book that changed your life? Out of Africa by Karen Blixen. She inspired the young woman I was in my twenties, and fed my need to discover the world.

Recommend us a film that has stayed with you? Un homme et une Femme by Claude Lelouch.

What piece of music defines you? I would say the Beatles for the way they gave rhythm to my daily life back in the days and for the amazing energy I suddenly feel when I listen to one of their tunes by chance.

Tell us about the most amazing place you have travelled to? The amazon forest… the most breathtaking travel experience to this date. I cannot wait for the next one, let’s take off.
