Tell us about a woman who you find beautiful and inspiring?

My close female friends are all very important to me and each one is beautiful and inspires me for different reasons.

Which accessory do you like to wear to complete your silhouette?

Sunglasses, earrings, necklaces, bangles.

What do you collect?

Nothing in particular and lots of things!

What object do you cherish most?

5 objects I truly cherish equally:

My charm necklace; a bold chain my ex husband gave me about 15 years ago: over the years I have been adding charms to it:  gifts from friends or ones I bought because they are meaningful to me. They generally represented moments, things, people and places I love or matter to me

My victorian “13” charm: I was born on a Friday 13th!

The “best mum” charm and a tiny star ring my daughter Agathe gave me

The “bean” charm my daughter Seraphine gave me

If you were a colour, what colour would you be?

All colours as long as they are bright and rich!

What’s your favourite smell?

My perfume: excentric by Molecule

What’s your favourite dish?

My daughter Seraphine is a great cook: any dish she cooks for me!

Recommend us a book that changed your life?

Too many! Reading is very important to me.

I have read so many amazing books which have each formed or changed my outlook on life: like an endless journey of discovery!

Victor Hugo, Joseph Conran, Toni Morrison, Gore Vidal, Ralph Elison, Margaret Atwood, Chuck Palahniuk, Joan Didion, John Updike and many more…

Recommend us a film that has stayed with you?

Again too many:

The Battle of Algier, Midnight Cowboy, Cassavetes movies, Apocalypse Now, Bladerunner, Fight Club, Barry Lyndon and many more…. I love watching movies and tv series!!!

What piece of music defines you?

I really don’t listen to music enough and wish I did more but I love dancing, so at any opportunity, I am on that dance floor!

No one piece defines me and my taste is very eclectic

Here are my favourites off the top of my head:

David Bowie especially “Life on Mars”, Missy Elliott, Blondie, Talking Heads, Grand Master Flash, Goldfrapp, Johnny Cash, Baroque Music, Funk and Disco as I love dancing!!!

Tell us about the most amazing place you have travelled to.

Any place I can do coastal swims and snorkel without a wetsuit. Swimming in the sea is one of my favourite escapes; I get a total sense of freedom and empowerment from it.

Sadly it is too cold in England for me!

Trinidad and Tobago where I had some of the wildest, most exhilarating swims and the beautiful landscape!

Amorgos in Greece: most dramatic underwater landscapes and dramatic beaches and the best hide aways

I went to Hangzhou and Shanghai in China for the first time last November and was blown away by the energy of the place.
